Ses recherches se concentrent sur trois domaines interconnect\u00e9s essentiels \u00e0 l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration des soins oncologiques en Afrique de l&rsquo;Ouest : la psycho-oncologie, la sant\u00e9 des femmes et le leadership infirmier en oncologie pour l&rsquo;influence politique. <\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">En psycho-oncologie, elle \u00e9tudie les dimensions psychologiques, sociales et comportementales du parcours oncologique, en abordant la d\u00e9tresse, la d\u00e9pression, l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, l&rsquo;adaptation, la survie et la qualit\u00e9 de vie des patients et de leurs aidants. Ce travail reconna\u00eet que des soins oncologiques efficaces doivent int\u00e9grer la sant\u00e9 mentale et le soutien social \u2014 un concept soutenu par des preuves que les infirmi\u00e8res en Afrique manquent souvent de formation ad\u00e9quate en soins psychosociaux, bien qu&rsquo;elles soient id\u00e9alement positionn\u00e9es pour les fournir. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">Sa recherche en sant\u00e9 des femmes met l&rsquo;accent sur des soins oncologiques sensibles au genre et culturellement appropri\u00e9s. Reconnaissant que les femmes atteintes de cancer font souvent face \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis psychosociaux, de litt\u00e9ratie en sant\u00e9 et d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux ressources uniques, elle pr\u00e9conise des interventions adapt\u00e9es \u2014 particuli\u00e8rement pour les cancers du sein et reproductifs \u2014 qui respectent les contextes socioculturels et autonomisent les femmes par la connaissance, le soutien et les ressources de survie. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">En compl\u00e9ment, elle se concentre sur le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des cliniciens en oncologie \u2014 non seulement pour fournir des soins cliniques et psychosociaux de qualit\u00e9, mais pour devenir des leaders influents et des d\u00e9cideurs politiques dans la gestion et le contr\u00f4le du cancer.
