Advancing research within the Global Community (Maputo, Mozambique)

This week  13-17 July 2026 was marked by the visit of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Rice University to Maputo, Mozambique, where they reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration with Mozambique, Africa, and the global community in advancing research and the introduction of innovative, low-cost technologies to be implemented across Africa and other low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

 AORTIC was represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Cesaltina Lorenzoni, who reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting and mobilizing research, education, and training initiatives for Africa and the global cancer community.
