Overview of the Partnership
In addition to ESHO hosting our first “Best of ASCO Africa”, AORTIC President, Miriam Mutebi, was able to meet with ESHO leadership and discuss how to increase AORTIC membership in Ethiopia. We are exploring ways on how ESHO can receive membership fees on behalf of AORTIC given the current complexity of funds transfer for Ethiopians. These were promising and we look forward to definite solutions.
Key Objectives
Strengthen collaboration with Ethiopian oncology leadership
Build closer ties between AORTIC and the Ethiopian Society of Hematology and Oncology (ESHO) to support national oncology development and engagement.
Expand AORTIC membership in Ethiopia
Develop practical solutions to enable Ethiopian professionals to join AORTIC more easily, including exploring local processing of membership fees through ESHO.
Enhance knowledge exchange through joint educational initiatives
Continue collaboration initiated through ESHO’s hosting of the first “Best of ASCO Africa”, promoting shared learning and regional participation in global oncology education.
